What is Powhatan Fairgrounds?
Fairgrounds is a historic 18-acre business venue that is 100+ years old. A place of belonging. We host a diverse range of events, including outdoor festivals, concerts, sporting tournaments, reenactments, weddings, receptions, reunions, corporate, meetings and motor sports activities. The facilities are also equipped for educational programs, community gatherings, and special events catering to various interests, making it a versatile venue for celebrations and activities of all kinds.

We’re located on Route 60 in Powhatan County, Virginia — just 12 miles west of the Rt 288 Midlothian Tnpk/Powhatan Exit. 4042 Anderson Highway, Powhatan VA 23139
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed at most events. Check event details for specifics. If allowed, all pets must be on a leash
What facilities are available for rent?
We offer an indoor banquet building that seats up to 200. The building includes a commercial kitchen,. For larger events, our outdoor spaces has a pavilion, a 2-tier stage, open fields, and special features like the mudbog pit and tractor pull track. Private event rates start at $100 hr (min 4hr). Yes, there is also designated handicap parking area

Can I volunteer?
We accept court-ordered community service hours and students requiring volunteer hours for school or an organization (ages 13 & under must have a parent/guardian onsite during their shift). Task include information booth attendants, general assistance, setup/breakdown for event, custodial duties, and much more!
